Rotation - Day One

I worked on "Simply Live" last night, which I listed to stitch on Thursdays. I got all of the alphabet on the bottom finished! I'm very happy with that because next week I can start on the motifs.

Simply Live progress
Stitched on 40 ct. Pearled Barley by Lakeside Linens using Valdani, GAST and WDW threads.

I don't want to jinx myself, but I think this rotation is going to work for me! I got my wips and put them in basket. I then found some tags and labeled each project bag with the project name and day to stitch them. I put them in the basket in order of the days.

Today I'm going to work on "With My Needle." I'm excited to get back to this one. Write soon! :)

  7. i like the basket idea better than my rubbermaid bin i have mine in. at least the basket is prettier than the bin. LOL I have my bags labeled as well but with actual labels stuck on the outside of the bags.

  12. I love your idea of tagging the project bags! I use the same bags for my wips and ufos, and everytime I look for something I have to get them all out and look into them. Now I'm off to make some tags for my bags :-)

  16. What a fantastic idea Nicole! I always wondered what those little black tags were for on the side of the zippered bags - great idea!

  17. I like your basket of WIPs too Nicole. I have a basket but my WIPs are in Ziploc bags so not as cute! I do think though that having things look good and organized does inspire you to work on them. I have almost as fun organizing my stash as I do stitching it. :)

  26. Ohhhhh, you are so organized :-). I love it, the tags are such a fun idea.

Love, love, love Simply Live. I am working on the motifs. I am straying a bit from my rotation because I am going to work on it a bit this morning, LOL. In my defense my DD and I went to lunch and a movie, He's Just Not That in to You, yesterday. I also had errands to run so I lost a bit of stitching time.

  33. What a great start on Simply Live, and on your rotation. I love your basket full of projects for one week - such a neat organization. Maybe that's why your rotation works.

  34. Well, I like your WIP basket, that is a great idea. I really should do this also. Now I have 4 WIP and keep stitching on the same one for several days and the rest won't be touched. If I would do it your way, I would stitch on all my WIP and they will get finished !

  35. Still haven't found a system that works for me, but I look forward to seeing your progress

  36. Great way to organize! I have something similar, but you've taken it further along, and I love it. I may have to adopt a bit of your idea.

Btw, you have lovely handwriting. :o)
