My Next Start?

I'm thinking of starting CCN's "Home Sweet Home" next. I got some of the threads needed yesterday.

I was thinking of stitching it on 32 ct. Cream Belfast. So that's what I have planned for tonight. I'm either going to start that or keep working on my "Simple Little Quaker."

Stitching as of 9/29/07.

I loved reading all your commments on whether you are a process or product stitcher. It was very interesting to find out what you all prefer.

Well, dh left not too long ago, so it's my time to stitch and listen to my book! :) Write later!

Not Finished Yet!

I've been stitching away on my Quaker Sampler, but I'm not done yet. I have a few more large motifs to finish up yet.

I did finish Drums of Autumn on CD. It was very good and I just started Fiery Cross, the next book in the series. I'm so glad I had it ready because it starts right where the last one left off.

Michelle left a comment about showing you all what I do with all my finished projects. And the answer is, sadly, nothing. I put them in a rubbermaid bin in between layers of acid free tissue paper. I decided to count them and there are 90, so sad. But for me it's definitely the process, not the product. Some people are all about the product or finished piece. After I'm done stitching something I'm usually ready to start the next one, so it goes into the bin and is not thought of too much after that! :) That is a good question though. Are you a process or product stitcher?

Now, I do have some finished and framed, they are mostly in Georgia though. The finished needlerolls, etc. are put away too. I put them away for safekeeping until we are in our own place and can display them in a cabinet away from dust, dogs, and children. :)

Well, that's all for now! I'm going to try to get some stitching done before dh gets home. Write later! :)

A Few New Things...

I got an order from Wyndham today. I had ordered some 32 ct. Patina by Lakeside Linens for the new LHN "Curly Q" pattern and the CCN "Daisy Sampler." It's such a pretty color. I also got a couple patterns - CHS "Quaker House Samplers" and CCN "Home Sweet Home."

Well, it's baby central in my room right now, so I'd better go! Write later! :)

More Simple Little Quaker

I got a couple more motifs done last night. I just need to fill them in now. Put the saying and my intials. I'm very determined to finish this one up!

The fabric I'm using is 40 ct. Navy Bean and the thread is "Lotus Flower" Silk 'n Colors by The Thread Gatherer.

Tonight is the big night! Grey's Anatomy is back! I can't wait!! :) Write later!

Simple Little Quaker

I decided to pull out my "Simple Little Quaker" by Papillon Creations. I haven't worked on it since May. I finished up a couple motifs on the left and just started on one of the center motifs.

I'd forgotten what a fun stitch this one is! I'd love to get it finished up too! We'll see if I can stick to it! :)

Well, not much going on here. Glad to see my old readers back. I hadn't realized how much my new (now old) template was affecting people! :)

Cappuccino Finished!

I got "Cappuccino" finished while waiting to pick up my ds from school. I always go early to give me some stitching time and to be first in the car line, so we can be the first to leave. Works out for both of us! Here's the pic...

Little House Needleworks "Cappuccino"
Fabric: 32 ct. Vintage Lentil by Lakeside Linens
Threads: Belle Soie by Crescent Colours
Started: 9/22/07
Finished: 9/25/07

Hmmm.. now should I be good and get another wip finished up, or start something else?? Decisions, decisions! :)

P.S. Sorry Vonna!!
P.P.S. I fixed my blog template, it should be working for everyone now!! :)

A Little More Cappuccino!

Well, Matthew is feeling much better. Thank you to everyone who wished him well. He was just not himself at all. I've been very spoiled by him because he sleeps so well, that him getting up every two hours and crying was just not like him and wore me out! :)

I did work on "Cappuccino" for a while last night. I stayed up way too late listening to Drums of Autumn. It's really getting good and I didn't want to go to sleep! :) Anyway, here's my little progress pic. The white kind blends in with the fabric too much. I wish I would've gone with a darker fabric like the recommended Vintage Examplar, but oh well, I'm not going to start over now!

Well, nothing else going on here. I've just been getting caught up on work. I've been slacking since my brother went on vacation - it's time to get back into my routine! Write later!

P.S. I've heard a few comments that some people can't see my blog. It may be taking too long to load. I have DSL, so I sometimes forget that those with dial up may have a little a trouble. If too maybe people are having trouble I will change it back! I want my blog to be enjoyable for everyone! :)

Another New Start

Well, I was going to work on "My Earth." I got it out and had no desire to stitch it. I decided to start the new "Cappuccino" silk thread pack from Little House Needleworks. I was only able to get a little bit of the border stitched. Matthew caught a cold and has not been himself. He's just been crying and wanting to be held. The poor baby. :( Anyway, here's my little progress pic...

I'm stitching it on 32 ct. Vintage Lentil by Lakeside Linens. It's such a pretty color! This is my first time using Belle Soie silk and I am so impressed. I've stitched with a lot of different silks and this is by far the softest of them all. So luxurious! Well, I'd better get back to making dinner! Write later! :)

Sunflower Bellpull - Finally Finished!!!

I was determined to get finished up this week and I finally did. I'm so glad this one is done!!

The Drawn Thread "Sunflower Bellpull"
Fabric: 32 ct. Natural Glenshee Linen
Threads: DMC, WDW and Needle Necessities
Started: 1/21/07
Finished 9/21/07

Yeah! I'm so happy. I'll just have to finish it into a bellpull now, which will probably take another eight months to get around to!

Next, I think I'm going to try to finish up "My Earth." I don't think it should take me too long. I just have to finish up the arch. I figured I might as well try since I'm in a finishing mood! :)

Write later! :)

Edited to add - I decided to change my name again (sorry if this has messed you all up)!

The Tea Room Finished!

I finished it up last night about 9pm and got to bed early for once! :) I had so much fun stitching this one. I loved everything about it!

Country Cottage Needleworks "The Tea Room"
Fabric: 32 ct. Lambswool Jobelan
Threads: DMC
Started: 9/16/07
Finished: 9/18/07

Now I really, really plan to finish up my Drawn Thread Sunflower Bellpull. I got it out and put a few stitches in it. I'm determined! And then maybe I'll start something new! :)

Write later!

More Tea Room

I got the shop finished up last night. I'm loving Drums of Autumn. And loving listening to it on CD. I seem to stitch faster while listening. Probably because I'm not stopping to look up like I would be if I were watching TV.

I woke up this morning and it was an absolutely beautiful day today. It was almost like once I made up mind to enjoy where I was that everything seemed greener and bluer, the water sparkled and the palm trees were beautiful swaying in the breeze. I'm definitely happy I made up mind to stop complaining about being here. Like I said it was just doing me no good - it was making me feel so down, and I don't need that on top of everything else! :) Well, Jake is needing me! Write later! :)

New Name - New Template

I've decided to change my name and template. I've also decided to stop whining about where I live and embrace it. Ok, so I would prefer to live up North where they have seasons, where there is Fall, but it's not going to happen, at least not anytime soon! So, I'm going to embrace where I live, a place where many people travel to from all around the world to visit. I'm done whining - it does no good! :)

Another New Start...

I know I said I'd be good and try to get something finished before I started something else, but the "The Tea Room" by Country Cottage Needleworks was really calling to me. Especially after seeing Susan's finished. I wanted to do it on 32 Lambswool Jobelan, so I ordered some from Handcrafts Online. Well, of course my impatient and impulsive self couldn't wait, so I found a small piece I already had. The margin is just under 2 inches, but I think it will be fine. And I'm sure I can find plenty of things to stitch on the Jobelan I ordered. :)

And speaking of Susan - she recently finished Peach Tree Cottage, and I told her how much I liked it, so she sent me the chart! I thought that was so sweet of her!

I sent her "Garden Pleasures" in return. We are both enabling each other! Everytime she finishes something I want to stitch it! :)

Well, that's all for now! My brother is still in Idaho, so I'm going to take this opportunity to relax and stitch and then it's back to work tomorrow! :)

Harvest Blessings Finished!

I got it finished up last night while listening to Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon on CD. I love all the Outlander books, but I hadn't been able to get through this one, so I thought maybe I'd do better to listen to it, and so far it's working. I was so excited to see that my local library had a ton of books on CD and tape and they have a program online where you can download them. I needed something to fill my Gilmore Girl void! :) Anyway, here's a couple pics....

Country Cottage Needleworks "Harvest Blessings"
Fabric: 32 ct. Light Mocha Belfast
Threads: Crescent Colours and DMC

I also received a little stash in the mail the other day from Handcrafts Online...

I got a couple CCN and LHN charts and I also got the Black Belfast I was needing for Hanky Pysanky...

Well, that's all for now! I'm really going to try to get my Sunflower Bellpull finished up before I start anything else! :)

P.S. Cathy, the Hanky Pysanky chart does have the instructions for the smalls. Sorry I didn't answer you sooner! ;)

Almost Finished!

I'm almost finished with "Harvest Blessings." It's been a fun stitch! I was so tired last night, but I couldn't sleep, so I got back up and decided to stitch until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. It worked, I slept like a log after that!

Please excuse the wrinkles! :)

I looked over at Matthew who was in his crib last night and this is what I saw...

He had fallen asleep sitting up! Too funny! Of course I had to take a picture before I laid him down.

Ahh.. that's better

What a silly guy! Well, my brother has left for Idaho! That means vacation time for me, which means stitching time! I'm sure I'll get Harvest Blessing finished up today and then it's on to something else!

New Start!

Instead of working on Sunflower Bellpull I ended up starting something new! It's CCN's "Harvest Blessings." I'm really enjoying it. I love the colors in this one.

I'm stitching it on 32 ct. Light Mocha Belfast. The only thread change I made is instead of DMC white I'm using Crescent Colours Magnolia Blossom. It's a softer thread and is a little bit creamier. I did have a little mess up. There are two flowers that should be yellow, but I'm not ripping them out. They will just have to stay orange. :)

Well, not much else going on. I'm just so glad I've got my stitching mojo back! I hated going through that slump! Write later!

Pomegranate Sampler Finished!!

I got this finished up tonight! I'm so happy to finally have it done! :)

Hillside Samplings "Pomegranate Sampler"
Fabric: 36 ct. Park City Blend by R&R
Threads: NPI Silks
Started: July 1, 2006
Finished: September 9, 2007

Next I think I'm going to finish my Sunflower Bellpull. I don't have too much to go on that one and I'd really to get it finished also! Maybe I can stay on a finishing roll!?

I got a little package in the mail Saturday. I discovered it on my desk yesterday when we got home from my in-laws.

It's "Hanky Pysanky" by Ink Circles. It's not something I'd normally stitch, but there's something about it that I really like. It calls for Carrie's Threads. I've never used them, but they look really soft. I plan on stitching it on 32 ct. Black Belfast. I think it's going to be really pretty. Well, not much else going on here. Trying to get Jake (my wild child) to go to bed. He's always the last one to fall asleep and the first on to wake up! :) Wish me luck! Write later!

Garden Pleasures Finished!

I got it finished up this morning! It feels so good to actually get something finished. I think that Queen Anne's Lace was starting to get me down a little. I love working on it, but it's also good to have some little finishes every now and then!

Little House Needleworks "Garden Pleasures"
Fabric: 25 ct. Lambswool Jobelan (1x1)
Threads: DMC, Crescent Colours, and GAST

Julianne left a comment a couple weeks ago wondering if I'd finished my Pomegranate Sampler. I hadn't. I only had two sides of border left to do, so I decided to get it out today. I took it with me to stitch in the car on the way to my in-laws. I managed to get all the green in the border done and now I just have to stitch the pomegranates. I'm looking forward to getting it finished now! :) I'll take a pic tomorrow! Write later!

A Little Finish

On impulse I decided to stitch Tanya's new Sampler Girl freebie "Tea with Jane." It was a very quick and fun stitch!

I found some fabric that matches perfectly to make a little pillow. I used Crescent Colors Wavy Navy, Blue Moon, and Cocoa Bean. The fabric is 32 ct. Country French linen in Latte I think.

I also worked on "Garden Pleasures" a little bit. I got the girl finished last night.

Thank you all for the very kind comments on my "Ashley" fob. It was fun to make and I love using it! :) Susan asked if I make the fobs to sell and the answer is yes! I have a couple listed in my sale/trade blog. I need to add some more! :) Well, the kids are wanting me to play with them! Write later!

A Tiny New Start!

I was inspired by Anita's very cute LHN "Garden Pleasures" pinkeep that I decided to start it this weekend also! I'm stitching it over one on 25 ct. Lambswool Jobelan. I'm liking it so far! :)

I don't have much done yet, just the border. I hope to get more finished tonight! I feel like I'm finally coming out of my slump. My excitement for my stitching has returned! :) I went to a couple of Joann's this weekend looking for the new Ashley Ginghers and I finally found them! I was so excited! I made a fob to match last night!

I had originally made an all purple fob, but decided I wanted a little pink to liven it up some! :) Well, Matthew is fussing, so I'd better go! Write later! :)
